When you set up your MFP account did you set exercise goals? Like 3 workouts 30 minutes... Does this change your suggested caloric intake? I have mine set right now and am wondering if I should set them back to zero. Right now I have them at 3 days a week 30 minutes each and I am working out 4-5 days a week. What do you do that works...

I don't pay any attention to the exercise goals. I stay under my calorie goals and add in exercise. Like, today is only Tuesday and I am already over my weekly exercise goal

I've always had mine set to zero. When I first started MFP I was skeptical and unsure if I'd even stick with it. So I made it as easy as possible; 1/2 pound a week with no exercise. I think almost every week I lost more than that, and at the begining (before summer) I was working out 3-5 times a week. I think you should do what will keep you motivated and within reason.

I set my goals because I love the feeling when I reach them. I have mine at 65 mins a day- at least 6000 calories a week. I have a mental mini-goal of 7000, however, which I have always met as well. Maybe someday soon I will actually change it to 7000...hm...

Thanks everyone :) So I'm assuming it has no bearing on the calorie count that you can consume daily...

Correct - they don't affect your calorie goal until you add your actual exercise into your diary each day.
You can use them to set yourself a goal, but that's all they are for.
