Can anyone help me come up with some ideas for weekly fitness goals? Examples: My week 1 goal was to try out going to the gym twice a day(did it!) My week 2 goal was to add 5 minutes to my cardio workouts on the eliptical(did it!) Sooo, now I'm trying to plan an exercise goal for next week. Any and all ideas are much appreciated!!!

You could try doing an activity you have not tried yet.
Do you work out a the gym or at home? What is the weather like where your at? I suggest this because trying new activites that are fun AND burn calories is great. I am on a mission to find some of these activites too. I want to make it my goal to add some variety to my excerise by adding something new. I get somewhat bored of the same old thing. Just an idea!0 -
hmm, maybe trying doing the same and then doing just a 10 minute workout video at home, I have denise austin hit the sport pilates and each target zone is only 10 minutes, I usually do more but since your already doing so much that would probably be just enough to add in!

Maybe you could add in so strength training of some sorts.I know I do my cardio through dancing and then I do push ups and crunches as my strength training. Its just a thought hope it helps0

Consistency is the key. Consider reaching X number of miles per week or try using a training schedule for an upcoming walk/run/ minimarathon!! :bigsmile:0

Now that you have bumped up your time on the elliptical, what about setting a speed goal for the elliptical, like so many RPM, or a distance goal for your set amount of time? Or, how about starting some intervals on the elliptical? Intervals are very good for burning fat and calories!0

Cutting salt is a great one for beginners because the water weight just falls off. It's a good motivator. I have the ankle weights too.
You may want to check out the couch to 5k program. you can get the exercise schedule on coolwalk.com i think.0
