Seems like a lot more! Anyone else feel the same way?

What brings me back to reality is when I convert my current weight to pounds... then I prefer kilos!

I prefer kilos, somehow it doesn't bother me as much as seeing my weight in pounds does. It also seems to help with how slowly I'm losing. With pounds I feel some pressure to lose at least a pound a week and I haven't been able to.

    Ha, true!
In the UK we conventionally use stones and pounds and it is always a joy to crack through the barrier into the next stone down
  • I'm more used to measuring in kilos than pounds. However in the country where I'm in right now uses more on the imperial measurements like lbs., inches, feet, cup, ounce etc. so sometimes I get confused with it. Even worst is that I hate math.

I grew up with both imperial and metric, but always knew my weight in kilos rather than stones & lbs.

I like kilos because I know what a 1kg bag of sugar looks like and how heavy it feels, and just imagining trying to carry 12 bags of sugar home from the shop brings it home to me how much I've lost and how much more I need to lose

Whereas half-a-pound of butter (now in 250g patts) feels quite light and so even if I try and imagine 52 of them in a basket it doesn't seem as bulky as the sugar example above :ohwell:

Mind you, when I think of a stone of spuds that you used to see in the greengrocer's and I think that I used to weight the same as 17 of those bags, then when I think I've now shed almost two bags... WOW! no that is a success

All in all we should be really proud of our successes ... be that a few tentative lbs, a couple of kilos or a shed load of stones... we are all working towards getting trimmer and fitter and feeling FANTASTIC!!!! :flowerforyou:
