Spinning Poi and general FIRE related exercise!

Come on now... FIRE is hot in every sense of the word! How would on calculate the calorie burn with this?

After spinning one night the next day I kid you not I couldn't life my arms! Has to be an AWESOME WORK-OUT! When I get in the zone... its ON!

Any help would be appreciated!

  • Poi rocks and then some. Use a HRM - seriously. you are moving your arms forcing your heart to pump blood faster so you are having a cardio workout albeit to a lesser extent that running.

    Don't forget to stretch after too as it's a great resistance workout for your core, arms, back and chest (especially if using kevlar poi).

    thank goodness there are "poi enthusiasts" here!

    I'll look up some of these sites thanks so much.

    The HRM thing is under research. They aren't cheap and I don't want to wear anything around my chest or waist type thing. Maybe a watch of some sort. That purchase will have to wait after the wedding. Hell maybe with wedding money. :D

    anyone ever tried a fire hula hoop? THEY ARE fantastic! plus look a little more edgy then just twirling some firey balls! :D
