I would check with your GP first but Im sure it would be ok. Have you done much exercise before? I am currently around a 12/14 and I started it a few weeks ago. Level 1 is totally doable even for beginners.
I have been doing the C25K running app though and generally exercising in some form every day for the last 6 months, I suppose it woud have been much harder if I hadnt already been doing something.
Take it easy, follow 'Anita' the girl who does modified moves for beginners and I reckon you will be ok x0 -
30 day shred is really tough. it kicks my *kitten* in intensity. and the workouts are pretty simple to do, you just need some 3lb weights, but you can also do it without them.0

I hadn't heard of it until joining MFP either. I started it about a week ago and it is brilliant. At 20 minutes it is an intense workout but you can always think 'once I've done this bit there's only x left'! I was fairly fit going into it but it's still worked me out. There are easier modifications for most of the moves so you can always start by following those and then move up when you feel ready. Also, as other people have done, you don't have to move up to the next level after 10 days - you can move up when you're ready. Be warned, though, you might not lose much weight but it is amazing for toning, tightening and inch loss.
I would defintiely recommend it (it's pretty cheap on Amazon!)
Good luck!0 -
Thanks, im not fussed about what number show up on the scales (obviously a few less than whats on there now would be good) i just want to be able to look in the mirror and be happy (as much as some one can be with there body) i want to be able to wear dresses and tops without having to worry people thinking im pregnant..lol so toning/tighening would be great for me!0

I've been here for a long time and see people talk about it all the time but have never looked into it as I love my cardio machine and lifting weights.
I'm ready to mix it up a bit and hear great things about 30DS. I looked at my local library and they have a copy so I'm going to check it out and see if I like it. If I do, then I'll go buy a copy. Gotta love the library.
Best of luck.0
