Lose weight on Junk Food?

I like junk food and eat within 1200calories and excercise. Can I lose weight?

I lost weight by just cutting down on the junk food. I still eat fast food once a week now, rather than 4-5 times a week and it's a good treat and I feel better overall throughout the week.... besides junk food can eat up so much of your alotted calories, it seems like you would just feel hungry and grumpy all day if that's all you ate.. just me.0

You will still probably lose weight but the saturated fats will have an effect on your body. If you can try to cut down on the junk food and have more fruit and vegetables it will help you to lose fat quicker and safer xx0

Just to reiterate...
If your ONLY goal is to lose WEIGHT, then yes. Eat whatever you want, make a calorie deficit, and you will lose WEIGHT.
However, if you want to lose mainly FAT, then you will need to exercise and lift weights.
If you want to get healtHY, then you need to lose at a more balanced diet.0 -
indeed you can but you are doing it an unhealthy way. And you will prolly do it more slowly since there is so much salt and sugar in junkfood. The better option is cut the junkfood in at least half and replace it with fruits and veggies and lean protiens0

Yes, but most likely you will not remain healthy as you age if you continue to eat that way. But for weight loss you can definitely do it on junk food as long as you watch your calories.0

Your body requires specific nutrients in order to function properly and keep you healthy. Exercise conditions muscle, and tones your body, but does not add nutrients.
So, although you will lose weight regardless of what you eat, provided you are in deficit, diet will determine how healthy you are/remain.
Junk food has very little nutrient value. If that is the majority of what you are eating, you aren't giving your body the fuel and nutrients it needs to function properly. Any weight loss you experience will be, at the very best erratic, and at the worst unsustainable and make you sick over time.
I know that is harsh. You have already added me as a friend, so I feel that I need to reply and give you an honest answer to this question though.0 -
Once you start eating healthily, you won't crave junk food so much. There are so many healthier food swaps you can do that still taste great!0

If you burn more calories than you consume... you will lose weight. But you could be enjoying so much more food if you try to switch to some healthier options and fit them in to your day. Here's a visual I created a while back to help depict how one meal at Burger King could be transformed into a whole day's worth of food if the calories were used with healthier options. Some people may not like my food choices, but I'm certain there are other things you enjoy that could replace my items.

I just cut down on it and now I barely want any and if I do have any, I eat a Weight Watchers ice cream bar or something similar. I do have my occasional snickers, but I also give myself a day once a month when I eat what I want, then the next day, I'm back on track. However, I have found I don't really pack myself full of crap on that one day I give myself. I just don't want to eat like that anymore.0
