My girlfriend and her husband are coming over for dinner tomorrow. She is vegeterian and him and I are not. I am looking for a dish that I can throw meat in part of it or on the side, but, something without out nuts or beans if possible (I don't care for beans). Something really yummy. I would make a grain temph stir fry but I know I will not have time to get it by tomorrow. Thanks!

This is my FAVORITE flavorful pasta dish. Amazing. My boyfriend who eats meat will eat this without meat and still get full! But you could definitely add some sliced grilled chicken. :)

I make a red and white tortellini it so yummy! My husband loves it too and he is not a vegetarian either.

20 oz pkg of cheese tortellini (you could split the recipe and use one with chicken)
    1 jar of spaghetti sauce
    1 jar of alfredo sauce
    2 cups of shredded cheese
    1 cup of water

    Preheat oven to 350

mix tortellini with 1 cup of water and the jar of spaghetti sauce in a 13x9 glass pan
drop spoonfuls of alredo sauce all over the top until jar is empty
cover the top with shredded cheese and cover with foil
bake for 1 hour then uncover and bake for another 10 minutes (I put in some garlic bread)

I put it in a recipe and it's about 380 for 1 cup (for the cheese tort) and it is SO filling!

    Good luck :)

*edit* I use Buitoni tortellini in the refrigerated section
