My bariatric doctor wants me to track my calories on this site. I started out on my BB using the app and love how I can switch between phone and site easily. My battery runs down very quickly when using the app, but my phone doesn't seem to keep much of a charge anyway so it's not an issue with the app.
My doctor wants me to eat 1200 calories a day, but I also like how this site keeps track of the other important things like protein, fat, carbs. Then it gives the negative in red showing how much you went over, or how much you still need in green. This is good for me since I don't seem to eat enough protein and too many carbs and sugars.
Also, I already inputted a family recipe based on the ingredients and this site calculated the nutritional content and I was able to track that meal accurately not just based on what was on the site, makes so much sense the my meals and my recipes, LOVE IT!!
Any other banded members/interested in being banded that want to chat, encourage, post, or ask questions I am open to that. Banded Dec 2009 so I am in the final 30 pounds of my journey and it is the hardest because now it is really all about calories, portions and nutrition. Love and Peace...shariaskew

My husband and I started on MFP on the recommendation of his personal trainer at the gym. We've been very happy with it. I've lost 32 pounds since Memorial Day, not very fast, but consistent and healthy.
Now two of our family members have joined us on MFP and a couple of my husband's coworkers/friends.
Good luck to you and I hope you will find an MFP circle of friends too.0 -
Thanks everyone for the encouragement.0

Thanks for being an inspiration. Because of you and another on the site today, I am re-committing to logging my food. Thank you!:flowerforyou:
