 So, Monday I went to the gym I JUST signed up with last week, for my first evaluation. I signed up to have a personal trainer twice a week for the next 12 weeks. After talking to him, I was SO motivated and excited to start a regimen that would work for me. After my eval and talk I worked out for about an hour and a half. I left the gym and went home. I got home and got in the car to go to my daughter's football practice. About 20 minutes after arriving, I was going to retrieve a FB and stepped in a hole and rolled my ankle. I have a severe sprain and I'm walking around on crutches. I don't want to stop working out. I need to make working out a part of my daily routine.

What do I do?? Any suggestions?

Oh, no! :frown: I sprained my ankle this past summer during a group exercise class, and was off it for about 2 weeks on crutches, and then another 4 with minimal workouts. I did a lot of kickboxing with my arms, conditioning, weights, and the best cardio...SWIMMING! It put no pressure on my ankle and I got a great workout! Hope you heal soon! :flowerforyou:

ouch! try and do everything and anything you can, just off your foot. lots of bench exercises or seated stuff. you have to rest that ankle. but you can still watch your nutrition and also do limited stuff at the gym.
  • you can do exercises that don't require you to be on your feet until you heal, focus more on upper body exercises there are lots of them you can do sitting down. I hope you recover quickly.
