Going over on sugar?

I have been going over on sugar a bit more ever since I started eating grapefruit for breakfast and dinner. I occasionally have a snack with a nectarine. I'm staying withing my calorie goal but my sugar intake goes over because of this. Anyone else have/had this problem? I really rather not give up fruit or anything. A majority of my sugar comes from my fruit, not too much from my other foods.

As for an answer..."this is why most people don't track their sugar".0
