I am not 100% on all the details, but anyways. How safe do you think it is for some one to do a 3 day 100% juice cleanse? It can be any juice as long as its 100%, and you can't have anything else just juice.

Would you do this? To me it doesn't seem safe.

note: This is not something I am doing. I have a friend who's professer has said they would get extra credit if they did this juice cleanse for 3 days.

Yes, this is safe (provided it's juiced fruits and vegetables - not "juice"). There are many people who do this for over a month, but if you go beyond a week or ten days, it's recommended to take some vitamins to supplement your missing dietary needs.

If you do you must make the juice yourself - not use the pasteurized stuff from the shops. Yes, I've done it and it's great. Good luck!

I wouldn’t do a juice cleanse, but that just me. Has the professor also had them fill out a liability waiver? If not then they should definitely do it, as long as the professor has also made sure that they’ve gotten all the approvals for time off from other classes and pto from work. I would not want to cleanse at the office.

Like I said I don't know all the details. all I know is it was for 3 days and 100% juice. He told them it didn't matter what kind of juice as long as it 100%. For 20 extra credit points it doesn't seem worth it to me anyways!!

Agree with this. You spend quite a bit of time in the bathroom. lol.
  • I recently watched a documentary of a guy who did a 60 day juice fast. It seemed healthy enough but he never really said how many calories he was drinking or how many fruits and veggies he put into his juice in order to get enough calories. So I am not sure on how healthy it is or how much you need to drink to be healthy. He seemed fine though. But, it seems like it would get really expensive. One clip said he was spending roughly 20 dollars a day on food.
  • There are a lot of people who swear by it and several documentaries supporting it. "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" is my favorite one. Some people follow this program for 60-90 days and the results are dramatic (getting off prescription meds, getting rid of migraines, etc.). IMO, unless someone is drastically underweight, there is nothing wrong with a 3 day cleanse!!

Fresh, home extracted juice is amazing.

So tasty and so good for you.

3 day detox is perfect as its not too restrictive unlike the 7 day version

You can make smoothies with avacado to add essential fat and protein to the diet too. Or by adding spirulina mix (which tastes disgusting)
