Emphatic yes! It is called hyponatremia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyponatremia and it is actually caused by too little sodium in the body. If you pee regularly and have healthy kidneys, you should be fine though.

    If you can't swim, yes.
  • Yes there is! It is called water intoxication. You basically dilute your blood and swell up your blood cells, like if you were drowning. But it's not how much you drink it's how fast. Your body can process 15 liters of water a day. So space out your intake and you'll be fine.

    Omg lul xD

25 cups just seems a little unnecessary to me

I hope you don't drink anything else other than those cups if you drink that much. Water is very good for you, but all things in moderation applies even to water.

Yes, there is such a thing as to much water. 25 cups seems like quite a bit. Look at your urine - if it's very pale yellow to clear, then you may be over hydrating. If it's yellow in color then things should be okay.

If you live in a tropical area and do a lot of exercising, then you'd require more than the typical 8 glasses a day. But 25? I don't know ... that really seems like quite a bit. Do you drink any other liquids besides water? If that's the only liquid going in your system, it may not be as bad as it sounds .... I drink quite a bit of coffee. But even added with my water, I don't reach 25 cups a day.

25 cups of water is almost 6 liters, the recommended amount is 1-2 liters. You don't need that much water. If you are always thirsty you should consult your physician to get tested for diabetes. High blood glucose levels make you thirsty.

But I hope you don't have it :flowerforyou:

Yes! I worked with someone who drank so much water that he ended up flushing all of the sodium out of his body and ended up having a seizure.

Yes, there was a girl who won once a competition of "who can drink the biggest amount of water bottles in x time" Sounds healthy,.. she won, felt dizzy soon afterwards and died that same day. In Spain is called "hidropesia", but not sure of how much and how fast is the dangerous zone of too much water!:D.

When I say 25 cups I mean around 5 liters a day. A liter is a little more than 4 cups. I only drink water and nothing else and I do spread it out over the day.

I think I will drop down a bit. Thanks for the feedback!
