trainer or not?

I am exhausted and frustrated! I have been at a stand still for a year! I have lost 50+ lbs and have kept it off. I know I should be happy. But I want these last 15-20 lbs gone. I have started running and doing the weight machines. I have no clue as what to do with the free weights! I workout 4-6 times a week and usually stay within/under my cals. I've even tried waking up early and switching my routine around.
I'm just wondering if a trainer would be worth my money. I know they are expensive. Anyone see results relatively fast with a trainer? How oftern did you see them? Did they give you a routine to follow on the days you didn't see them?

Tony Horton is my trainer and best of all I do it at home.. P90X is a great program that can give you what you are looking for. It's tough but it works (especially when following the meal plans, I know this from experience). Other programs like insanity, turbo fire, chalean extreme are also very very good and provide results. And all is a lot cheaper than a trainer.0

I've heard this mythical place called the 'diet plateau,' and I've seen many articles that have suggested switching up your calorie intakes over the course of the week can get the metabolism ball going again. For example, you eat over your calorie limit for a day, under the next, on the limit the third, rinse, repeat. Also, the owner of my gym, who helped me out with just such an issue, told me that I was actually eating far too few calories for my size / activity level, and that my body was basically storing them... I had to ADD almost 600 calories a day before I started losing weight again! Crazy, huh? Also, check your intake of potassium - it has been linked to metabolism and you might be a little low in it.
Best of luck! Awesome job on the 50+ lbs!0
