I sure hope this site works and I stick to it. Joined another program with very similar features, but it stopped working for me, so I quit.

The site doesn't lose nweight or get you healthy, that is up to you. THe sitre just guides in the correct direction to help you out. It takes a lot on your part to get the job done. This site ou need to be sure youa re dedicated and won't quit when things get tough! In other words, NO EXCUSES!0

Welcome! It has worked for
me in the past, WHEN I stick to it. I have downloaded the app on my phone, which helps out a lot. I used to do the points program as well, and I lost 25 lbs...but once I quit, the weight all came back. I recently relocated to another state for my husbands job, and I lost my yard, and all the daily things I used to do to keep me fit. So, now, here I am, back on here, trying to make a go of it once again, only this time I am DETERMINED to finish what I started!
Good Luck!!!!0 -
It will work if you put in the effort. I know it is true in my case, when I apply myself then it works. There is a great support here on MFP! find some friends to help keep you motivated. REMEMBER we are aiming at lifestyle changes not crash dieting or unrealistic results.0

WOW! I believe that it's up to YOU as to whether something "Works." This is just a "Calorie Counter," NOT a Program; it works IF YOU Work It! Attitude is a MAJOR determiner as to whether an eating plan or diet or wt loss program works. This is a great site, but it is only some technology/A Tool, "it" can't make YOU stick to a Plan...That's On YOU. Enjoy your stay, however long.0 -
It does work if you use the tools. It is not a diet, it is a way to keep track of things you are eating. Really the calories you take in. You think about it more when you see it writing. Lots of good advice here and also support. You can do this.0

Thanks to all of you who have been so encouraging!! My biggest problem is sticking with it and keeping up my food diary. Hoping with my new phone and the app with the barcode scanner, it will be a lot less time consuming. It sure is amazing what a difference having the calorie total for the day makes. Knowing I'm close motivates me to not eat something if I'm not really hungry.
And, just to clarify, when I said the program I was on quit working, I should have said I no longer liked the program. It was a major national program that was drastically changed last November. Anyone guess what program that is? After it changed, I was no longer able to meet my goals without getting really hungry. I would eat the same food I ate before the change and then exceed my target week after week. Before the change, I was able to stay on target and lost weight weekly. Besides, it cost too much. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that this site is FREE!!!
It's also wonderful that so many people have responded all ready. THANK YOU!!!0
