Zig-Zag Calorie Cycle

I was experimenting with different calorie calculators to see how my results varied. One suggested a "zig-zag calorie cycle." In this cycle, to lose weight, this is what I would be eating:

Monday 1293
Tuesday 1035
Wednesday 1552
Thursday 1293
Friday 1164
Saturday 1422
Sunday 1616

It says I would be eating the same amount of calories per week as if I ate the recommended daily amount for weight loss (1293 calories per day) but it tricks your body by constantly changing daily calories which helps prevent or break plateaus.

Has anyone had success with this, or does it seem plausible? I'd like to try it since I haven't had much luck losing weight eating 1350 calories a day.

Personally I don't think there is enough "zig-zagging" - it's not that much of a difference.

    Are you exercising daily?

I've heard this sort of thing works. I'm not sure though if it is medically proven or is just another diet myth. I hope it does because i naturally do this. I aim to had my calories add up at the end of the week. Sometimes i have a bad day somewhere on the weekend and try and make up for it during the week.
