The running shoes I have are about 3 years old! I am looking to buy a new pair. Anyone have any suggestions for good running shoes?

YIKES!
Go to a runner's store and get a free analysis of your pronation.
I run in Brooks! Love them!!!!!0 -
My suggestion is to go to a running store and get fitted for shoes that meet your needs. Everyone is different. Now that I've said that, I love my Mizuno Wave Riders!0

Same as above - go to a running store. Too many miles on your feet and its too important. So many options, they will watch you walk and get you fitted properly.0

Asics are awesome, but definitely go get fitted for the right kind for you.0

I agree with the other people, go to a running store, I have Brooks, they are a little more expensive but well worth the money. No more knee or foot issues.0

I love my New Balance running shoes . . and I also loved my previous pair (and wore them out) they were Adidas.
Shoe fitting is such a personal thing though . . like the previous poster mentioned, definitely go to a running store
where they will fit you and let you really try them out.0 -
My vote ... Vibrams! Streghthen those foot muscles.0

Asic, Brooks, New Balance, Nike, Saucony, Mizuno, Vibram Fivefingers. I've used em all. The closest I've come to "perfect" for me have been two different pair of New Balance and the Nike Free 3.0. But this is just me. YOU should go try as many as you can and choose your perfection.0

I agree with earlier posts...and it can't be said enough... go get a gait analysis and proper fit from a running store!!!! I run in Brooks Ariel and Asics Gel Kanbarra's. Also change your running shoes for new ones every 500 miles of wear!0

Get your foot analysis at the shoe store. I like Asics myself....just dont buy Nike, the worst running shoe out there.0

I have New Balance 400s. Don't use em for running much like I planned, more the elliptical or walking. I didn't want to spend the big $$$ if I wasn't already committed to running.0

Oh dont wait 3 years either, if you run weekly or more than that, buy new shoes every 6 months. You only get two feet for life, keep them healthy as long as possible.0

You'll definitely need to go and get your gait analysed by a podiatrist who will then match this to the right shoe. Also note that particular brands have different shoe models for different running actions - so just saying "brooks/asics/nike/whatever are fantastic, go buy them" may not result in a good fit for your particular running action if you just pull a pair off the shelf! For example, if you have heavy supination (roll out) and you pull a pair of Brooks Adrenalines off the shelf you'll be killing your feet as they're designed for people with excessive pronation (roll in). Finally, make sure you change them every 6 months like many others have said, 3 years is waaaayyy overdue!0
