I am allergic to peanuts, so I am wondering what would be a good replacement?

can you eat tree nuts? we feed my peanut-allergic son almond butter (just make sure it's processed in a peanut-free facility if you are that sensitive to it).

Another option is sun butter - made from sunflower seeds. I've never tried it though!

Health food store, it's called Just Great Stuff Organic Powdered Peanut Butter.....45 cal and 1 1/2 fat in 2 tbs. It really isn't too bad at all.

I LOVE PB2 powdered peanut butter. I actually like it more than the real thing because it's a little less sticky when reconstituted. At 45 calories per serving (vs 188 for the real thing), it's an easy substitution.

My kids LOVE sunbutter. I have had people come to my house make a PB&J and not know the difference.
My wife works at a preschool and they serve sun butter made out of sunflower seeds. Here's more info.

PUMPKIN SEED BUTTER! It is the highest in protein and is all the good fats of almond butter - it tastes amazing. My naturopathic doctor who is also supervising my diet recommends 2 ricecakes with pumpkin seed butter and sliced apple as a delicious 200 cal breakfast.

I love it! I eat it with a spoon as a snack!
