Hello..........

After joining a gym just over a year ago, I have only just found the free weights and used them!! Love then and how I feel also after 2 weeks there is a difference!!

Pictures have been taken and in about a month, when I feel more confident, I will post them..

BUT any tips on weights please share or message me as I need all the help I can get, I have met some amazing people on this site who have been so generous and understanding, helping me start new with this!!

I work my chest, back, then move onto arms and legs!! I get in a bit of cardio to warm up, then free weights and machines...

I must say I love the feeling the next day, I ache and I sooooooooo want to feel that more... Also I have noticed that not only a week later I can do 6 pull ups (with 90lb) instead of nearly one!!! Not my strongest point but it soon will be stronger ......

Yeeeeah! I love anything titled "women and weights". I'm glad you posted this because today is only my 2nd day back into lifting (I did some a while back, back when everyone thought light weights and many reps was the best option for women) and I am so sore and I love it, but I was wondering when I was going to start to see results (I know not after 2 days, I was just thinking ahead to the holidays :) Have you read the New Rules of Lifting for Women? I'm reading it now, but to be honest, I'm a little skeptical about some of the things he writes. I also love to read some of the blogs on rippedacademy.com. I'd love any suggestions you have as well! Good luck with all your lifting!

Great work so far and we look forward to seeing some progress pix.

Have you ever tried a Les Mills pump class? These are fabulous as specially choreographed to maximise each muscle group and it's also a great cardio workout.

Thank you for your input and taking the time to post these messages xx

Stubsy yes I have just started body pump, only ever done about 2 classes, felt silly as did not know what I was doing, but am so much stronger now!!!

iwantniceabs in 2 weeks, there is a definite difference in my stomach, I have had to c-sections, so to see a difference is something!!

I also think about the new rules guide it is written by a man??????????? There are some lovely ladies on my friends list who are into weights, I will tell them about this post.. xxx
