In November I'm going to take a 2 week trip to southeast Asia where my primary diet is going to consist of noodles and sticky rice. any suggestions so that I don't completely blow this?

honestly, I just say enjoy yourself...you're going to have fun and experience the culture...you can get back onto your eating when you get back...have fun!

I live half between Europe and Singapore - Asia has more to offer than just noodles and sticky rice. There's plenty of stuff to choose from. Steamed fish is always a good option :)

I'd say just enjoy the time while you're there and try things you've never had before. Just keep your on eye on the portion control.

I went to Thailand for 3 weeks and actually lost weight. So many healthy food choices, lots of fresh vegetables and fish. I think you will find it easy to eat food you enjoy, but is still healthy.

Ooohh - I am very jealous!! In most places - definitely Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore you will always be able to get fantastic fish / seafood and vegetable curries - yum... and lots of tropical fruit - double yum!!

I suppose it all depends how adventurous you are - we try everything at least once - and then most of the time more than once ;-)

You'll probably do a lot of walking too so it will probably even it out! (unless you're planning on sitting by the pool all day)
