I eat breakfast at McDonald's every morning... Oatmeal, decafe coffee, one cream, half pack of Stevia.. As I eat lots and lots of people come and go and pile up at the counter...I was eaing with my son n law Saturday and I said the only way I can describe what I see it it looks like a herd of cows at the counter...I don't want to be part of the herd, I cannot change getting old but I can change they way I look and feel..So each morning watching the herd come and go helps me to stay focused...My point is I have been/and part of the herd I'm getting out...Strange way I get my motivation...BUT it's working...We are what we EAT!

good stuff ... u can get motivation from anything....0

I totally get it. My motivation comes at Walmart when I see people in the motorized carts and they are mainly there because of weight related issues (I'm assuming...maybe something else totally). I don't want to have to use the motorized cart when my joints are shot from too much weight.0

I manage a menswear shop that caters to the 'larger gentleman'... Seeing the people that I see everyday, and the health problems they endure is a huge motivation for me.0

At least you're having healthier options!...We are what we EAT!
LOL whenever I take food from The Biggest Loser range to my work for lunch my boss tells me we are what we eat. and bursts out laughing at his own joke for a good 10 minutes.0 -

But what if they're all ordering oatmeal and coffee with Stevia?0

I work at red rooster LOL I think that explains it all...0

But what if they're all ordering oatmeal and coffee with Stevia?
can I hug you?:flowerforyou:
Unfortunately most are ordering massive amounts of food.
I just realized I am becoming part of the herd again(thanks for this post which has nothing to do with my issues, but reminded me I am in control of what I eat)
Last week my soon to be ex was blowing up my phone with negative texts. He likes to text...........wait 1 minute and start yelling I did not respond. Uh, I am working!
My point? I went to McD's to order a small cheeseburger and small fries no salt and a bottle of water.
"Would you like to try our Angus burger?".......sure what the hell
"For 1 dollar more we can give you large fries and a Sweet Tea (see the caps? I revere Sweet Tea) well OK,
I ended up sick as a dogl. Maybe the food is good, maybe not, but I am 50 yr old woman who is 148 pounds on 5'2" frame. I have already gained back 10+ from stress and EXCUSES but now I am ordering enough calories for a grown man AND enough fat for both of us over 3 days!!
Sorry, my posts can be long:blushing: But I GET IT! Thanks for the motivation.0 -

Mickey D's this morning there was a young lady eating next to me. The special is two chicken bisquits for $2.50, she had two chicken bisquits, hasbrown, and a large coffee with cream and sugar. Ckicken bisquit 410 calories each, hashbrown 150 calories, and lg coffee with cream and sugar I'm guessing 250 calories..Total calories 1220 for breakfast. She could not have been over 25 years old and was very big....I have sit there and eaten this same meal in da past...I actually felt bad for her thinking she just does not know the problems she will bring to herself and health issues..Watching her keeps me focused to make the correct choices...I'm just sharing this to maybe keep some others focused here as well..Stick to da PLAN....PlEaSe...0

First - Stress will do that to you!! Realize that you CAN and WILL take it off after the stress (meaning your soon to be ex, lol) is gone.
Now - I have the perfect diet to help everyone who finds McDonald's tempting.
Months ago, on a whim, while trying to encourage my son's gf to get out there & make applications for jobs, I took a job working at McDonald's. This was when I had mentally decided I HAD to lose this weight, but hadn't spoken to my family about it, and hadn't discovered MFP yet.
Well, anyway, my four hour stink at McD's (I'm actually surprised I lasted that long!) was at the fryer.
Let me tell you - those french fries were being fried in what looked to me like barf. They seldom really changed that oil - so it looked like a dark, dark bucket of slime with pieces of food bobbing up & down (the pieces that got out of the basket).
I think if the heat and standing for all those hours didn't get me (I've had knee problems for a long time), the smell and looks of those french fries being cooked - well, I have not had any McDonald's food since, and am NOT tempted at all. :noway:
So - my diet plan is for everyone who loves McDonald's food - to work there for a few hours like I did.
There's nothing like watching fries being cooked in a vat of barf to cure those cravings... :frown:
Now - I need to find a potato chip factory to cure me of THAT temptation!0
