I've never done the actual silmfast diet but I really like their chocolate shake. It's 200 cals and if you have that for breakfast (alone) it's super filling and delicious. It also makes a great lunch paired w/ a banana (and/or yogurt) if you're in a hurry.0

Slimfast has trans fats in it, so it's incredibly, ridiculously unhealthy.
That's the one thing I will not consume, even in moderation.0 -
Tried it years, ago, gave up because I was always hungry. There's just not enough nutrition in those shakes.0

I tried it years ago, and lost 30 pounds in 3 months. I don't have the willpower now, though, to just have a shake for breakfast and lunch. Counting my calories and portion control works well for me because I can still eat things that I like that are good for me.0

I did it for about a month, but was so hungry most of the time, I couldn't wait for dinner time so I could actually consume something solid! I found that I am losing more weight just by dieting and watching my calorie intake, smaller meals and low calorie snacks! The cappaccino delight shakes I really liked , but again it just wasnt filling enough for me! But it's whatever works for you!0

It seems absolutely pointless to me because for the amount of calories in a shake, I could make some FOOD that would be tastier and more filling.0

I'm on the SLIM SLOW diet. Eat whatever I want and still can lose weight. I just make sure to exercise.0

I tried slimfast, 100% on plan for 3 weeks and gained 1 pound.
Sod that.0 -
I feel that it is for suckers, like any other thing called "The ____ Diet"0

I tried it and lost weight because you are basically starving yourself. I was STARVING all the time. Instead of drinking a shake made up of 200 calories, why not eat real food that is 200 calories?0

i tried it along with my mam and dad and it worked for us we all lost a lot of weight
i do find with slimfast u need support as willpower is needed big time for it to work0 -

I use it and really like it. I have lost 31 lbs in about 5 months on slim fast. I feel pretty full after I drink them and don't get hungry for quite a while.0

I lost 24lbs. Of course I did not do the plan exclusively, I do use slimfast to replace one meal a day usually, some days two then have a normal dinner. Slimfast taught me about portion control and to be honest slimfast is a lot better for me than things I was eating before.
You're always going to have those people with their "holier than thou" attitudes who say "why don't you just eat real food"? My response, if they want to come shop and cook for me then be my guest and there's those people who say "zomg that is sooooo bad for you transfat zomg how can you eat that?" my response to them, it's not like every single thing they have ever eaten is healthy.
I say do what works for you, everyone is going to be different.
I do a 200 cal breakfast (usually a shake), 200-300 calorie lunch (sometimes a meal bar or tuna lunch packet or something), a snack, usually fruit, and then a normal dinner and a snack later like popcorn or something.0 -
I drink them for lunch with a banana or some fruit on the days I want to save my calories for a bigger dinner. I've never done the diet alone and have never used them for a breakfast replacement, I think that meal is too important. I've had good luck in the past doing that and now that I'm starting again will do the same.0
