I am not 'little'... I tip the scale at 184 these days, and while I realize that for some that makes me a pretty BIG girl, and for others it makes me a SMALL girl...depending of course on what the person's own goals are. For ME this is pretty darn good  I was roughly 250pounds in highschool and considering that I have worked hard to get where I am, I am pretty happy with myself.
The ultimate goal is to get to the overweight section when calculating my BMI... and some of you may think this is crazy but I would  to be overweight. I have roughly 15# to make this happen.
I was talking with my friend yesterday (she is working really hard too, I am soooo proud of her!) and told her that I would like to be 169# so to make this happen I need to get to 160# so that if some comes back on, I'll remain in the right area of where I want to be. She was mortified  "WHY on Earth are you planning to GAIN before you even get there?!" she asked. I explained that knowing myself, and knowing that many many people do put some of their weight back on overtime, I want a cushion. :blushing: After all I did this once before and (even tho the majority of the weight re-gain was due to pregnancy) about half came back on... I don't want to do that again!
So, am I crazy like my friend thinks i am? OR do people understand what i am saying? I'm not going to INTENTIONALLY gain

I totally understand. Life happens, so you hope for the best (that it stays off) but plan for the worst (that a little creeps back).
    Good luck!

I completely understand I have went from midway obese to higher end of normal but none the less normal weight, I am very proud of myself for achieving this however as happy as I am at the moment weighing in at 8.12lbs I would like to get to 8.7 to give me the option of those "bad times" when we all gain a little weight to keep me under 9 stone. I think it is perfectly acceptable to have this as we will I imagine work as hard to maintain as we do to lose weight we all know our own weaknesses better than anyone else so we account for this in our goals.
Well done with the good work so far :flowerforyou:

 Oh goodness, do not be sorry! i didn't know... I have read it many many times and wondered. Can I ask a follow up question tho? Why would you say TWO stone when you can say TWENTY EIGHT pounds? I really am not making fun or trying to be disrespectful :blushing: I just like the sound of MORE when talking about weight loss

 Thats okay I don't think it's disrespectable it is just stones and lbs is the units of measurement we grew up with you are right 28lbs does sound more but anyone that works in stones is aware that there are 14lbs in a stone for example if I said to someone at work I weigh 124lbs they would still be counting it up, It had taken me quite a while this year in just working with pounds, dont even start me on Kilo's

I'm kind of doing the same thing, but in an opposite way. I set my goal for 158 which puts me in the normal range of BMI for my height and I figure. I'll try to lose about 10 more once I get there but if I at least maintain, I'll be elated!
