My SIL and I are shopping for HRM but dont want to have to sell our first borns to buy one!!

Tell us what your brand of HRM is and why you love it! How long have you used it? And most importantly, would you buy another of the same kind!! TIA! :drinker:

I had a Timex for my first one; HATED it. Couldn't read me at all.

Got some advice - ended up with Polar FT4. It's a bit more than the Timex was, but it's accurate, dependable and very easy to use. And the chest strap is comfortable.

I bought and returned 3 or befure I finally kept my Polar FT7. I love it -- but I actually wish I had spent a little more and gotten the FT40 or FT60 -- with those you can program your V02 max -- That's what I will buy next.

Timex and sportline were not very accurate or consistent and 2 of them couldn't even detect my heart beat.

I wouldn't waste a dime on any that don't have a chest strap.

Best prices seem to be on amazon.com for just about any of them...

I've only had one HRM and it's a Sportline Duo 1010 and it works great for me. I've had it about 9 months now.

I had the TIMEX and it was GARBAGE. I returned it and got the Polar FT4 instead. I LOVE the FT4. Just the right amount of options to do what I need and not be overly complicated to use. No issues- I love it!
  • Polar FT4. And I would buy it again and again.

I have owned a Polar FT7 for nearly 3 years and it is still going strong. I love it.

And I'm currently saving work rewards for a Garmin Forerunner. Hopefully I can get it next month.
