I see a few people in my gym wearing sweat shirts when working out, some even with knit caps on... does this really increase the effectiveness of the workout?

I see this too. And I understand that it makes you sweat more - but how effective is that really? To me, I doubt it is really worth being SO HOT for.0

I suppose it can help you lose water weight because you sweat more but personally, I'd rather stay relatively cool so I can keep my energy up and get a better workout in.0

It's a mental thing..You sweat more, but you have to drink more water to rehydrate. Seen just as much sweat with short sleeves.0

Exactly. I wear a tank top and I still sweat all the way through.0
