I'm discovering the joys of butternut squash. I cut it into cubes, toss it in a bit of canola oil, add cinnamon, ground cloves, coriander, ginger, and allspice. Then I bake it in the oven for half an hour at 400 degrees. When I pull it out, it's soft in the middle and crispy on the outside. I drizzle a little honey on it while it's hot, and toss it again.

Tasty holiday baking smells, with a tasty healthy treat at the end!

It's been hitting the spot for me.

looks like everyone has some really good ideas.

A while back I found a baked apple recipe that is yummy and healthy. Core apples, pour over balsamic vinager, your favorite spices,, and bake until apples are tender. They were as good as apple pie.

This is exactly what I do! lol The other day I made banana bread from scratch and gave one of the loaves to my neighbor, then hid the other from myself, and had my Husband put it only where he can reach

I really enjoy baking/decorating, I just need more people to pawn things off on. My kids aren't big sweets eaters, and most of my family lives an hour away. Oh, well!
