So i just bought a heart rate monitor/calorie counter sportline watch and for the first week or so was working fabulous! my calorie count was pretty straight on and so was my HR....well this past weekend I walked for about 2 hours at a brisk pace and my watch said I only burned 125 calories (which is obviously way off) and now tonight I did Jillian Michaels killer buns and thighs for the second time and it said I only burned 48 calories (way way WAY off) considering the first time I did it, about 5 days ago my watch said I burned 500 calories...
now, does anybody else have this problem or know what is going on?!? super bummed if my watch is a fail and stopped working properly
please help!
the watches brand name is S7 7-function ecg heart rate watch by sportline.

Does it come with a chest strap? If not, it make not be accurate.0

I have the S12 Sportline and I have the same problem. I heard the same thing that one with a chest strap is much more accurate.0

Take it back and ask for a replacement. Sounds like it has failed.0

no it does not have a chest strap, it says right on the box "no chest strap needed, ecg accurate" lol
hmmm really tho, failed after 2 weeks? well not even 2 weeks!0 -

I would invest in a Polar HRM..I have one....it was about 50 bucks for a Polar FT4..I have logged 289 exercise sessions, with a total duration of 236 hours and 25 minutes...and a total of 80,454 calories burn since 12/24/2010 and Its still ticking0 -

I have the same one..sometimes it'll lowball your heart rate (like when I'm running every now and then it'll say 50 bpm). You have to make sure you check to see what it says. If it says something crazy, just press the button again and it'll usually give you a better reading.0
