buy wholemeal tortillas or pitas and make your own, lots of veggies some grilled chicken and limited cheese... you could even add some spices or homemade salsa.0

I'm so with you on that. I'm not sure our body works that way though. Anyway, if you are having it, try to have it before 8 o'clock. If you go to bed say 11.30pm, that will still leave your body enought time for it to digest the food.
Enjoy!0 -

there is no need to stop eating at a certain time, calories are calories0 -
Nutritionists often calculate a daily allowance based on an overall weekly exercise plan, so I am sure you will be fine if you go over today and exercise a bit more or cut back a bit tomorrow. I tend to be under all week, then eat a lot more at the weekends, and have had a fairly consistent loss, although I have a lot to lose, which is probably a factor. But anyway, enjoy your pizza :drinker:0

I think you should make your own pizza at home. It is much healthier and you can control the calories and ingredients. You can buy whole wheat pizza dough (already pre-made) from most groceries stores (try the frozen section). Fresh veggies and a meat choice (I love adding turkey pepperoni) are in YOUR control and will make the pizza tasty!
But if you don't want to make your own, then just eat whatever you order in moderation and pick healthier topping options if you can.0 -
babyblake11, i would disagree with you on that last comment. While calories are calaries you have a much less chance of burning the cals if you go to bed after eating. Our bodies are like fires, they keep burning as long as you are stoking them. as soon as you stop moving and go into rest they will rest also.0

You can do that as I am great through the week and shockingly bad at the weekends (mostly down to alcohol!), the iPhone app shows you your average over the week and I am usually just under over the 7 days.

then where to these calories go? your body burns them while you are sleeping... then when you wake up... calories dont just turn into fat when it gets a certain time.. as long as you are not overeating you will not. gain. weight.0 -
I agree with babyblake11. The whole stopping eating at a certain time thing has been debunked numerous times in peer reviewed studies. It actually came to be when one study showed that people who eat later than others tend to eat more than others...but what that really means is the late eaters ate too many calories, not that the fact they ate late caused them to gain weight or slow weight loss.0

We're all human and there are going to be times when we can't eat perfectly; pizza one night won't hurt you although personally I wouldn't be doing it every single Friday. I have read a fantastic book by Marisa Peer who says that if you eat later at night, your body has to work really hard to digest it so you wake up feeling tired and sluggish in the morning (and let's face is, when we're tired we're likely to not eat as well or not exercise). Late night eating isn't recommended but once in a while won't hurt you. If I go without things I like for too long (such as chocolate) I binge for days. Enjoy your pizza!0

This is true.
It is purely a case of if you less than you burn then you will lose weight. If you go over today by say 200 calories and then burn off an extra 200 tomorrow then it's all the same.0 -
To the OP-- check out this latest info from the Hungry Girl website. All about pizza!!!

I am sure some of this info might help you make some good choices.0 -
Whole Wheat English Muffins, Fat Free Mozzarella and Healthy tomato sauce's combine too make awesome little pizzas. The best part is you can track the macros to a T, and know exactly what you are putting in your body. Pizza shops are a nice treat, but god only knows exactly how many calories are in each slice. As far as the eating at night thing, my personal preference is too eat the majority of my carbs after a workout, but too each his own. Make sure you keep a steady intake of protein, and casein or MPI before bed!0
