Hi everyone, I have a question that I am asking for my husband. He was wondering if there is any exercise video he can do to gain muscle but not lose weight?
I do Jillian Michaels videos and he was looking for something in that similar price range (20ish $)
So guys, are there any good workout videos out there that can help him increase his muscle mass without decreasing our bank account too much? lol
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Becky

My Husband does Gillian with me (30DS) but she also has abs workouts. My husband loves to hate her, because she is punishing! But can already see the difference. It's just a pain when she says "Come on Ladies..." it always makes for some caustic remarks from Dearly Beloved0

Check out Supreme 90 video clips at collagevideo.com (modeled after P90X) This is a set of 10 videos. You should be able to purchase it where "as seen on TV" products are sold. Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walgreens .... for about $20
Gilad workouts would also be a good choice - Collage has several of his videos. Would your husband use Bob Harper?0 -
I would recommend that he try out Craig Ballantyne's Turbulence Training CDs. If they are too pricey, I know he has routines on youtube that you can search for...and that's free.
also, I think the routines by Zuzana on www.bodyrock.tv are great for men and women. they are free to watch on-line.0 -
Stay away from any workout videos that include "The Situation" from Jersey Shore.0

The friend who married my husband and I did P90X with great results, he also runs ALOT, so he lost the bulk of his weight through the combination, but he and a buddy got nice muscles through p90X. There's also some streaming videos on Netflix and more that you can rent through them.0

I've heard good things about this. Of course, there is P90X but this is the cheaper alternative...0 -
yes my husband would do Bob videos. are they more strength training and less cardio than jillian?
oh and trust us, no 'Situation' videos...lol0 -
p90X..that is all my husband uses now (runs/plays soccer too). He was an avid gym goer, and has now forgone his membership for p90!! It is awesome!0

Re: Bob Harper - Pure Burn Super Strength is just strength training0 -
I would recommend:
P90X: A mix of weights and body weight exercises
Weider's X-Factor:ST: This is a CD set you can find at places like Walmart for less than $40, it's all body weight stuff.
Power 90: A less intense P90X.
The Great Dumbell DVD by Noel Potvin
Enter the Kettlebell! by Pavel
You can do some great things with kettlebells.0 -
