As I type this email a sweet family of 5 young daughters and a loving husband are mourning the sudden death of their wife and mother. It had nothing to do with her weight at all but it has really put alot into perspective for me this morning. Life is so short and noone knows when it can be taken from us. My mother died suddenly when I was 19 years old so I can sympathize with these sweet girls and weep for them knowing the pain they are going through at such a young age. What a reminder as to why I am on this journey. Why I no longer will waste my life being overweight and depending on food for comfort, motivation and fun. We have to ask ourselves if that one candy bar, doughnut or bag of chips is worth the risk of leaving behind everyone that loves us and needs us in their lives. I would have to say absolutely not! That temporary fix can help lead to a perminent grave.

So today my friends I stand once again with the commitment to my health and to live a long and happy life with my family. To not make them suffer any longer with the worry of losing me and robbing them of time with me. My selfish wants will no longer come before them. We all are on this journey together. We all need to hold each other accountable even when it is tough because at the end of the day we all have a common goal. If you have friends who have fallen out of touch try and reach out to them the best you can and encourage them that their lives are worth fighting for. We all are valuable and worth it! Go and make it a great day today and God bless!

What a beautiful statement! This weight loss thing took years to occur, so give yourself years to ease on down to a healthy weight. This is life-long. One day at a time. A new way of thinking and keeping your body in motion (walking, stretching, etc.) We all need to remind ourselves that we only have this one life. Cherish your health and your family. It might make it easier to stay within your healthy calorie goals. You are allowed to have some not so healthy foods, just make them small portions. Best of success :drinker:
