Hi everyone,

I am working hard to take weight off, however, even with keeping my calories in line with losing weight, I'm not losing. I've had several suggest that the stress in my life is the cause of me holding onto the weight - I would have to agree. I wont go into the gory details but suffice it to say there is a lot going on.

Now, my question for you is - have any of you used or found a natural supplement that helps manage cortisol and stress and/or stress eating? I know all about keeping busy (that is not a problem...its probably part of the problem), exercising (doing what I can on that one), and all of that good stuff. What I'm looking for is something that may supplement and help what is going on internally to cause me to hold onto this (stupid) weight.

Thanks everyone!

    Have you tried Bachs rescue remedy?

    Its natural and I love it. They have pet versions too which is actually how I found it, my little female ferret gets very nervous during storms so I give her a little and shes good to go (I got it for her, originally, because she is very aggressive toward certain ferrets- doesn't work for that but it certainly calms her when she is scared) after I got it for her I was looking around their website and saw the human version.. I don't know if it manages Cortisol but it helps to chill me out when I am really stressed and it tastes really good :}

    Good Luck!

    My philosophy is nothing can work for ever except hard work and dedication. I want to lose weight, and I'm sure if I took diet pills I would reach my goal quickly...but the result wouldn't last forever. I haven't tried or even heard of natural supplements to counter stress and it's effects on weight loss so I have no advice there. I'm going through some stressful things myself and could support you if you need a friend... I am holding on to this weight because I'm still not 100 percent committed, I know I don't always make the right choices, I blame stress but I should blame myself. I can't control most of my sources of stress but I can control what I choose to eat and if I choose to workout. I hope you find something that works for you. Add me as a friend if you want to talk. Good luck on your journey!

    Do you take B complex vitamins? I feel that they help me with stress and metabolism. I can really tell when I run out. :) Just an idea. You might also want to try upping your water intake.

    Good luck!
