My son wrote this poem two days before my father lost his battle with cancer. I am really having an "I miss my dad day" and I thought that I would share.

The Path of Life

From the first day we are born
We have a path that is torn
From choices of right or wrong
For our path of life is long

When young we don't know right from wrong
But guidance helps us along
For all we can do is crawl
And if we run too fast, we might fall

When we are in our life of mid
In our life we start to bid
For some choices made bad and good
For some choices in life we wish we could

When in our life of last
We are thankful for our past
Its time to share our great path
Before our life is in the past

That was a touching, great poem. Sending you hugs through the internet. Hope you can feel the love your dad has for you and be a little comforted. To be honest though, I can't know and would be terrified to know what that's like.

Hope someone comes and gives you a real big hug soon. :flowerforyou:

Thanks to all of you for your support and prayers. My dad was my best friend and my "go to" guy. No matter what he always listened, never passed judgement and would only give advice if it was wanted.
