I have no problem eating animals IF they are treated humanly and respectfully by the farmers/slaughter houses. The problem I have is when animals are abused, have poor living conditions, are force fed just to name a few issues. If we are going to kill them and eat them for nourishment, the least we can do is to provide them a happy healthy life until they die.

If you look at the even bigger picture it boils down to most people don't respect food anymore. We waste it everyday and it makes me sad that all those animals who gave their life to feed us end up in the dumpster because we have too much. I wonder what the starving people in Africa think of us?

Watch the documentary "Food, Inc". I haven't been able to eat Mcdonalds or Burger King for a very long time now.

I like this...we were ment to eat meat...BUT we were also ment to catch it and prepare it ourselves as well....but times have changed and we can't all go hunting anymore so I agree that if we have to farm them then at least we don't have to torture them. I mean it does not have to be a room at the hilton but I don't want it to be cram packed in an area so they can't even move out of their own poop or lay down...I like happy meat! HEHE!


I mean really, people treat animals we don't eat (dogs cats--i hope) better than they treat their own family sometimes so why do we mis treat our food so bad before it's our food? Our pets make us happy and our food provides nutrition and makes us not hungry.
