The folks from UK seem to be able to log their stuff?

If you can't keep up with it on here just take a small notebook. I know it is more work but that will keep you accountable.

Yep, get a small spiral bound notebook and/or the app for your phone if you have a smartphone.

Edit: Oh, and I would try to make sure you write down as much info. as possible so you can log it when you get home and then compensate when you get home (more/less exercise) to make up for it.
  • Thats a good idea Thankyou :O) ill make sure i pack a note book and pen :O)

  • From what I have seen they have given you helpful ideas above. The only thing you can do is A) take a note pad and write down what you eat. You can log it in when you get back if thats what you want to do. You know roughly what you can eat and what you can't. Drink pleanty of water to help keep you full.
And if you have a smartphone, put the app on it. I'm sure it will help.

I find stress ADDS weigh, which is why I haven't lots any yet. Take a couple deep breaths. Your going away for a week to relax.... Your allowed to have a little slip up.
Edit: Not that you WILL... But its alright if it happens. Seriously. Your only human.

Best wishes and good luck but I read these comments over more than once and did not see a sarcastic one in the group
  • the note book was a great idea, but when I get an answer like UK manage to Log !! this is not clever as not everyone has access to the internet, STRESS is not an issue either.....I have a disabled son that will be seen by specialist's so no my week away is not gonna be a relaxing holiday. sorry my sharp comment was for the clever cloggs that seems to think that everyone on the planet has internet connection......Thankyou for the great idea xx
  • jeff92se was who im directing too sorry to anyone that might feel offended.

    I had no idea:

    1) That you would have no access to a computer.

    2) You don't have some type of smart phone.

    3) You had a disabled son

    4) Time was a severe limitation.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to perform a vulcan mild meld with your 1st post and get the critical context that you left out.

With that, I'll say the notebook route is a good idea. And good luck

"...UK TO RELAX I have a disabled son to take to the specialists..."

Relax with your son. Show him the sights as you have time.

You might take in more calories than you intended. You might gain a few pounds. You were successful before, you will be again. A notebook is good. Guilt is not so good. I also have a disabled child and there is enough stress to go around.

If you see some interesting dish you have not tried, get it! I read a quote, something like "We will also be judged on the good things we passed up."

And have fun between those specialist visits!

(Note to self: never pass up strawberries, even if they are served with cream.)
  • jeff92se i dont want to turn this into some kinda of argument but when i state that I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LOG FOR A WHOLE WEEK then maybe along THE LINES this means NO COMPUTER AVAILABLE.....sure I made that part clear. Not that UK are backward in there technology, yes if i had the time i could log, so YES I had to explain Not expecting you to have a crystal ball.
  • Ukoyote - Thankyou for ur kind words :O)

You didn't say "not log in". You said "without being able to daily log". There could be many reasons why (tech and non tech) that you might not be able to. ie... not be able to find the right foods to track the calorie counts

I recently went on a 3 week vacation and came home to fins out that I lost 14 lbs. That's what motivated me to start MFP. I watches my carb intake and walked for miles every day , there was so much to see. Walking was all it was. I hope you have a great time on your trip.

Right! If on your trip you are doing alot more walking than normal, you'll want to track that also.
  • You can write it down..? Or try to log on here..? Enjoy ur vacay.
  • I just want to say THANKYOU to those that have given me good advice and kind words....Good Night from this end and enjoy your weekend. See you all when i get back xxx
