Hey all! I'm trying to make my biggest meal of the day lunch and was wondering if it is better to eat lunch before my workout or after? Are there pros and cons to either way?

If it's going to be your biggest meal of the day, then you need probably about 2 hours between lunch and working out if you eat first.0

Personal preference is all that matters0

It really all depends on your body and what works best for you but it's advised to eat at least and hour or two before you work out (don't right before). I usually get hungry after working out so to prevent over eating I like to eat my lunches after a workout. try it both ways for a week each and see what you like best.0

For me - I wouldn't be able to eat my biggest meal and then go workout. I would likely throw up. So, for me -- I would eat it afterwards.
Do what works best for you. I personally can not workout with any food in my tummy.0 -
I'd say after because regardless I'm always SUPER hungry after I workout. Generally speaking though breakfast really should be the biggest meal. =]0

It doesn't matter when your biggest meal is as long as you're maintaining a calorie deficit. Not. At. All.0

IMHO small meals regular intervals.0

Depends on you personally. I can't eat a big meal before I'm supposed to work out. I have a big problem with the ITIS after eating and probably wouldn't go to the gym after...lol. Plus I've noticed if I eat heavy then go the gym, I get light weight heart burn...lol0

I eat my main meal at 7pm ish and then go to the gym for 9pm.
I get terrible sticthes if I workout when full.
I don't get hungry after working out though so it doesn't matter if I eat before.
Do whats best for you! xx0 -
Do cardio before eating so you can burn more fat.
Do weight lifting before eating because muscle need to be refeed after the work out.
and you have simple sugar for lunch it will go straight to your muscle.
But more important you need to have enough energy to have a good work out
so have a light low carb snack 1 hour before the work out....0
