How do you enjoy eating quinoa? It tastes so good in salads like from Whole Foods Market but I don't have any recipes and would love to have some good ones. Thanks in advance!

same. I make a salad with mine.

    cool the quinoa
    Red onion
    celery
    chickpeas
    walnuts
(you could add diced chicken) and maybe some raisins
olive oil + rice vinegar + apple cider vinegar.

My co-worker puts canned tuna, chopped up hard boiled eggs and feta in her's with a little cayenne pepper to give it some kick. She said it sounded nasty when her BF made it but it's so good. I have not been brave enough to try it yet!

It's an ancient whole grain, high in protien and fiber-very healthy. I fix it and have it hot in place of rice.

If everyone used google correctly and fully, there'd be no need for any posts at all on mfp. Wouldn't that be fun?

    Oh.....

I didn't even notice that search feature lol. I'm pretty new to this site, haha.

I like to hear from people who can tell me their experiences w/ food though. Google is great but real people are better as far as being able to describe the flavors, answering questions etc.

I use it as a rice substitute. Great thrown into soups / stews (though beware...it soaks up a lot of water!!). I also use it as the base for any dish you'd eat on rice (i.e. indian food). The limits are just your imagination!!

I have used it pretty much wherever I would normally use (brown) rice. I really like it with honey and raisins.

    it's all good.

yep, it can be pretty bland without a dressing or something to spice it up. or sub it for rice (like someone else said) and toss on something to it. i typically make a few servings and seems to keep well in the fridge

for some ideas, Check out the recipe section here, some good stuff. also, you can check out skinnytaste.com as well.

It's a mid-sized bird, generally considered in the order Galliformes. Quite tasty.
