Eeeks. My sodium today was 3500. How bad is this? My friend who is a nurse said it's making my retain water, hindering weight loss. What types of food have low sodium??
Also, I'm a vegetarian, so no meat suggestions please

I just had a similar conversation earlier today. Hope that helps. 3500 is way too much, yeah.

Whole natural foods is the way to go. The sodium comes high in processed foods so avoid those and you'll be good to go.0

Found good info there when I searched.0 -
Sodium is the devil - IMO..the only way to avoid it is to choose unprocessed items...read all the labels to find brands that are reduced sodium, etc..basically anything prepackaged is going to have high sodium..like canned veggies, soups, froxen dinners (those low calories frozen dinners are the absolute worst)....eat fresh veggies and meats and prepare them your self and you will remove almost all the sodium from your diet...also beware of "fat free" or "Low fat" options as the usually contain much more sodium than the regular version...when I have to choose low calorie or lower sodium..I always choose lower sodium...0

Thanks! Just read through that. I am thinking I'm going to have to incorporate some more fruit/veg. It's hard b/c I don't cook and don't eat meat, so half the time it's just soo much easier to buy pre-made meals0
