Just Joined...ready to get healthy.

I have not worked out for a year now. I used to work out at least 5 days a week. This last year has been hard and I have put on 40 pounds because I haven't worked out and just kept eating. I want to turn that around and try to get healthy again. I was told by a friend that this site helps keep track of things to help me do that. I'm excited.

    Thank you Packerfan1 and mary134. It's nice to know there are people out there that this site has worked for. I have tracked my food intake so far and I am well over my top calorie count. I have eaten regularly for the first few days to get a handle on what I need to do to lose the weight. I start my exercise program on Monday. I know adding exercise will help. I need to make better food choices and I think putting the food I put in my mouth on this site will help me to make those better choices. I look forward to being able to say I've lost 19 pounds.
