Lately I haven't been logging all of my cardio, like walking my dog or taking bike rides to school and to the grocery store. should I be logging all of this activity, or should I not bother?

It depends on what you have your profile set to. If you've added that to your goals and are at active, I wouldn't. But if you're set at sedentary I would!

I log anything that isn't out of the ordinary. So, for me that's the gym and exercise calories. Everything I would do on a normal day as part of my day to dya life I wouldn't log.

I wouldn't class walking the dog as cardio though, unless it puts your heart rate up and breaks you into a sweat?

    That's just me though.

Thats a good question. I would like to see what folks say. My doctor says to only log the intentional exercise I do and the other actiivity is just part of an active lifestyle. I think it depends on what you set your setting too when you started your mfp profile- If you said sedentary and this is all new activity that I would log it. If you set it at active then I wouldn't. What does everyone else thinK?

if it's part of your normal routine, and not workout, then I would not log it.

I do log when I walk my dog/go on walks because those aren't things I do on a daily basis.

If you did it when you gained the weight, i.e. grocery shopping, walking to your car, tying your shoes, don't log it....If it's exercise and/or makes you sweat, then log it. That's how I do it - like it or lump it................
