a question for ladies who take the pill

I have always had low energy (or so I thought)... thought back a long time and realised it has been ever since I started the Pill.
Anything I can do about this? P.S. Going off it is not an option, it's for my skin...

YES!
Okay sure I have lost quite a bit but I think is it really this hard for a lot of people? I will bust my butt at the gym, eat right and hardly ever see about a 0.2kg loss (0.4lb) I know slow is good but surely I should be losing more if doing this much? :S0 -
I did at first think it was that making me lazy/gain weight but then I changed my mind after I started on MFP. I just realised it was me finding another excuse for me to sit on my bum all day and eat.
It differs for everyone though and I'd suggest maybe changing the brand you use because I changed mine and find losing weight easier.0 -
I'm on Dianne35 - also known as Juilette (that type for a few reasons..) I havebeen getting migraines since I was 8.. so no the pill isnt the inital cause but my neuro says that a mini pill that is a single hormone may help with the frequency that I get them..
I can't remember what life was like before the pill (have been on it for 18 years) so not sure about the energy levels. I do believe that there is some research into how it is harder to lose weight while on some dosages.
I believe that anything you put into you body has an adverse reaction eventually ... so both issues mentioned seem reasonable to me.0 -
Hey, I have slow weight loss like that and work out at the gym all the time. I think its still trying to figure out the details with our own body that makes the weight loss imperfect0

im on a low dose..i lost 3lbs from last saturday i dont think its harder, ive only been on it for like 3 months and ive been losing weight before that... What the pill basically does is tell your body its prego thats why some ppl feel tired breasts are tender mayb even feel sick for the first few months.. and i did but it stopped. ppl gain weight while on the pill because they may be eating more if they are higher amounts of hormones. So try the lower dose0

I have lost 27 pounds while on the pill(Loestrin 24 FE) and I haven't found it hard at all.
What I have found is, I'll lose steadly like 3 weeks outta the month and the week before I go off the pill for 4 days and the week of, I don't lose anything. After those two weeks are over, I'm back to losing like normal.
Don't stress so much and you'll prob. lose more weight. Plus eating clean/healthy also helps.0 -

I'm on it for acne usage and can not drop it down to a lower dosage as then my acne will come flaring back up. Already tried this.0 -
I'm on Loestrin 24 also, and I've had no problems. I take it to regulate my TOM and ease the cramping. It's a low estrogen pill, so that may be why I haven't had troubles. I tried Seasonique and couldn't keep anything down, so they put me on the Loestrin and it's been great. Everybody is different, though, in how they respond to each formulation, so if you're not happy with how you feel on it, talk to your doctor and try some different ones.
Good luck!0 -
oooh :-( well exercising regularly will naturally boost up your energy level along with eating a "clean" diet..remember dont just rely on the scale inches and body fat probably is a better way to track. It will happen for you everyones body is different just keep at it! :flowerforyou:0

Estrostep made my boobs bigger, permanently. Not that I'm complaining.0

I'm on Loestrin 24, but I am always tired so I don't know if it's due to the pill or just my eating habits lately plus my daily activities. My boyfriend's doctor gave him Vitamin B-12 pills for low energy. You can look into those and see if it helps0
