Hi! I am newer to this site and am officially ready to lose some weight... just looking for others in a similar situation to help keep me motivated!
Since I graduated college and began my life in the real world sitting long hours at a desk all day I have gained 25 pounds in 3 years and 2 pants sizes. 10 of those pounds were in the last 6 months or so. I am very scared that I am going to continue this trend and be unhealthy. I am very un-happy when I look in the mirror and want to be pretty again! I don't feel like I eat any worse than I use to I am just not as active. I love working out but struggle to find time between work and studying. I want to be healthy and look good again. I know that it is possible as long as I can stick to it and keep motivated. I like to eat what I want to eat as long as I don't overeat.
What has worked for you?

Hiya, my tip is to replace the car wherever possible, walk/bike to work, shops, out on lunchbreaks etc. If you can do this it soon builds up and if you're lucky and have the distances there means you don't have to make 'extra effort' to get your cardio in! Also I try and get in at least one longer session at the weekend :-)0

Let's be friends! Having a job that requires you to sit at a desk or commute long hours is horrific for your body physically and mentally! I totally feel your pain as I am a full time student and have a full time job and a wedding to plan! You need to look for opportunities to move around at work: take the stairs, take a nice stroll during your lunch break. You need to find the time to unwind! Find a work buddy that you can take a stroll with, join a fitness class with, even talk about healthy food and recipes.0

Well, you have come to the right place if you want to lose weight. This place has definitely worked for me. Between watching how much I eat, and not so much what I eat and about 15 mins of cardio 5 days a week I have been very successful. And it definitely helps to have supportive friends to drive that motivation even harder.
Feel free to add me if you would like!0 -
I live in a small town and if its less than a mile we walk or ride our bikes. The kids and i walk to school 1/4 mile everyday we walk to the gas station and eat our veggies first protein second and carbs last ( not something I wanted to teach the kids but I eat all of one thing on my plate then sin the plate to the next thing and i just happen to eat veggies, protein then carbs) but I find we dont eat all our carbs. Best of luck!0
