Agree... besides habanero mustard0 -
Mustard isn't TOO bad... but I also try not to use any condiments. I have used apple butter, pure honey, lite ranch dressing, and low fat/sugar peanut butter recently though. :P Not great choices, but not terrible... I honestly don't know many low sodium sauces, but I'd like to also!0

I use condiments sparingly, but I use them. I don't use dressing any more - just red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar. Mustard is good. If I have to use mayo (a BLT isn't a BLT without mayo!) I use the Kraft Reduced Fat Olive Oil Mayo. I've never been a huge ketchup fan, so I don't miss it. I love to use malt vinegar on fries or mix up a honey dijon sauce. I use non fat greek yogurt for sour cream. Marzetti makes a yummy yogurt based veggie (or chip) dip called Otria. I love the McCormick Perfect Pinch Salt Free herb & spice mix, as well as the salt free Mrs. Dash varieties.
On my "to do" list includes learning mix up my own taco seasoning, because even the "low sodium" taco seasoning is ridiculous.0 -
If you are lucky enough to have a Trader Joes in your area, they have the best selection of random low sodium products
Some lower sodium condiments/products I use:
Greek yogurt, wishbone ranch salad spray, balsamic vinegar (watch the labels though...some have high sodium), french fried onion pieces, natural peanut butter, no salt added sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, Mrs Dash products
Making food spicier with hot peppers, hot sauce in foods can make you forget all about the sodium you didn't add
If you must... add salt sea salt as it is lower in sodium than table salt.
The most important thing is to read the labels and shop around for your favorite products until you find a balance between lowering your sodium and being able to maintain the lifestyle of lowering your sodium0
