Workout pants???

I was wondering if anyone wears those workout pants you can get at Walmart that help you sweat? I was looking at a pair today but chose not to buy them. I also saw the thigh wrap belt thingys. That do the same thing, I already wear the tummy one and I have noticed a difference. My biggest problem is my thighs so I just want to know if any one out there uses these two items before I buy. Thanks.

    I sweat enough!
The only benefit I would see is to cut water weight quickly. I see no long term upside to this.

Waste of money. Workout and eat right and you will not need them.

I don't know how well those things work. If they just make you sweat more you'd gain the weight back as soon as you drink more water???????

they're not going to provide any long term benefit, just water weight loss but as soon as you drink you'll gain it back. it's def a gimmick.

I would actually see them as a disadvantage, because they have got to be uncomfortable. I recommend fabrics that breathe and wick, not sweat and stick.

You will have a very sweaty crotch. That's about it.

My first thought is "swamp crotch!"

Some areas of the body need to be able to breathe, and the entire pelvic area is one of them.

I sweat plenty, don't need anything to further the problem.

Interesting fact - this isn't true for all people, but for a lot of people, you burn more calories when you're cold. Burning calories is better than sweating more. :) I work out in shorts and a tank top - unless I'm running or biking outside, of course.

But what if she wants a sweaty crotch?

Then she should definitely get them.

No I do not want a sweaty crotch!!! But I have read that wear things like compression suits help to tighten and shape the body while losing weight. So I was wondering if these pants would help, since I don't have the money to buy a compression suit. Thanks everyone for your replies!!
