hello folks

so i been 2 weeks officially and lost 2.8 kg ( 6.1 pounds ) in the 1st week and 1.5 kg in second week (3.3 pounds)

dont get me wrong i like it but...

im 2300 calories per day with 1 pound per week sedentary lvl ( 2300 also is my BMR )

my stats are : 168 cm height = 5"6 inch i think / 279 lbs was my starting weight / now im 273.2 lbs

and my questions are :

1- how long this awesome weight loss gonna last ? how many weeks ahead?
2- why this huge weight in my 1st 2 weeks? it must be something with water retention ?

wish anyone have the knowledge to share it with us :D<3

thx for reading

It's very common to see a big weight loss early on as your body learns to adjust to the new level of calories you are providing. I think how long it last varies from person to person. You will plateau at some point. So don't be discouraged when it happens. Congrats on your early success. I hope it last a long time!

I am no expert, but here's what I do know

~ Usually the first big loss (first week) is some water retention loss if you have cleaned up your eating
~ The more you have to lose, the fast you lose it (bigger amounts)
~ Cutting down on sodium (salt) helps to not hold water weight as badly

In other words, honestly impossible to predict how long. However, if you stick to clean eating, and keep going, it could potentially continue until you are around 240ish in pounds. Is it possible you will stall? You bet. Just keep in mind, constant progression is how you win. Keeping updated goals, adding activity as you can/are able to, etc. Hope that helps

The beginning of a diet always shows dramatic losses. It slows over time. Eventually you'll have to set a calorie goal that's less than your BMR to continue to make progress.

I lost 15 pounds in my first 3 weeks. It has slowed, actually stopped and now I am losing again just in the last week. So, I would say, for couple of weeks I didn't show any loss. I am down 19 pounds in less than 2 months. I'll take it!!
