How do you do your intervals?

When you do interval training, do you do interval training only? Do you do it after some steady state cardio? After lifting? Or intervals, then cardio? Or strength, then intervals, then cardio? Or some other pattern entirely? Does it depend on what type of interval training you're doing?
I've seen some different things - some say you have to do at least 20 minutes of cardio before your interval training for it to be effective. BodyRock.tv seems to encourage doing the short intense intervals workout, and then if you have anything left, doing some cardio after. So I've become curious about what people think about this, and why they do it the way they do.

I do cardio intervals on the days I don't lift. On my lift days I save my energy for the weights. When I do I will usually do a 3-5 min warm-up 15-20 mins of high intensity intervals and then another 20 mins of steady state cardio.0

Ill typically do intervals in place of steady pace cardio (since it is cardio If you go all out, you wont have alot left. I picked up a gymboss, it will keep you honest and let you do intervals aside from the cardio machines, stuff like medicine ball throws, bosu burpees, etc 20 min of 45s work and 15s rest, you will be dripping and spent.0

I do mine on my bike. 10min warm up then 30sec sprint 30 as fast as I can but still catch my breath rinse repeat 8-10 times and cool down at the end. I don't do cardio on my lifting days. I may do this in th am and a longer slower ride at night or some other form of light cardio.
My bodyrockish stuff I don't do while I lift cos my muscles are overworked anyway. 1 min on thing and change to another for 1min 10sec rest in between to get myself into position. I do 15 or so things at a time. I would do cardio after a little while after if I felt like it0 -
I do mine after weight training. Im already warmed up so I do 3.5 incline on the treadmill for 2a minutes, walk 2 minutes then alternate increasing minutes and pace with two minute walking. It depends on your level. I started with 2 minutes walking with 1a minute running and built it up from there. Im trying to run 3.1 miles without stopping though.0
