i have lost weight but now im starting to plateau. I haven't lost in a while and i've been starting to eat larger portions. I'm afraid to start gaining again. How do you all keep from plateauing(?)/keep yourselves motivated to eat small portions?
Thanks!

Whenever my body plateaus, I switch up my diet and exercise because I feel that my body is begging for a change. I try different exercises and new foods to see how well my diet likes them.

To stay with portions, I use a scale and portion everything I am going to eat tomorrow today. I pack all lunches and dinners just in case I will not be home. That keeps me from overeating and most of the time I never finish my meals, so I have little snacks left over.

I found like many others that throwing in some new exercise routine can get you losing again. On Oct 7th I had been stuck for 3 weeks at 197.8 and started the c25k plan and lost 5 pounds in 1 week and am 189.8 (9pounds less) after 2 weeks. Now I know for myself to mix it up when I hit a plateau. I am sure many more people will give you some ideas as to what works for them. Just try a few different approaches and see what works for you.
Good luck and have a great weekend.

I'm in the same boat. I just got a pedometer so I can do 10,000 steps Friday-Sundays. I'm starting (yuck!) abs on Monday-Thursday and play volleyball Wednesdays. I have been told to change the exercise that I do so there is more variety and my muscles don't get used to doing the same exercises. You are also supposed to occasionally eat more calories. I can't see your exercise, so don't know what you do. It also looks like (at least recently) you're not eating all your allotted calories. Don't starve your body or it will get used to being starved! What kind of exercises do you do? DO you eat back your calories?Sorry if I'm giving you too much at once, but having a complete picture helps.
