gained 2kg in my birthday week need help loosing it

okay so last week was my birthday week and after a week of bad food i need help getting back on track. so this is what i plan to eat tomorrow please comment and tell me if it sounds okay

breakfast : instant coffee with skim milk no suger and a cup of cut up watermelon
lunch: cos lettuce and tomato salad with vinegar dressing and carrots with small amount of coles light french onion dip
snack : instant cofee wth skim milk no suger and a small butter cupcake with vanilla frosting ( left over from birthday)
dinner: roasted carrots and some small roast chicken legs

ps i am a uni student cooking for myself

  • I'm thinkink that there's probably not enough protein there and I think your brekkie might let you down. If you have something more substantial and with some protein in it it will keep you full for longer. I love watermelon, but I reckon if that was the extent of my breakfast, I'd be seeking out something naughty way before lunch.

    I'm thinking there's no way you've really gained 2kg in a week. 4lb, 3500 per pound. You'd have needed to eat 14000 calories over your maintenance calories to really gain that much.

    I think you may have gained a little, but that mostly you've retained water. Did you drink more alcohol than usual? Eat more fatty food and salt?

    Just have a normal week, drink plenty of water, exercise moderately. Most of that will be gone by next week.

    This gets my vote.

    I just returned from a 2 week vacation 3 lbs up and just getting back to a normal routine has helped it slide off. I would recommend trying to avoid extremes one way or the other.
  • i don't drink alcohol in general lol
    but im guessing its the cupcakes, cakes and fast food
