How much is a Stone in Pounds?

I tried looking it up online and I found anywhere from 12 to 19 pounds equals one stone. Since there are lots of people on MFP who list their weight / weight loss in stones, I'm curious!

yep 14 pounds = 1 stone.

and there is 16 ounces to 1lb

so 13 stone 7lb = 189 lb

to convert to Kg = 85.7
