Yes, another about water weight.

How much water weight can someone have to lose?

I think I am still losing water weight although I would like it to be fat loss. My high weight back in July was 178 I am now down to 160/161. I started MFP a little less then 2 weeks ago. Since starting MFP I have lost 6 pounds. Before MFP I was losing weight but I would lose some & gain some and wasn't keeping track of calories or what I ate. Since starting MFP I have lost 6 pounds. I have noticed on days I go over the 1200 calories a lot (a few hundred) and not exercise I gain back 2-3 pounds. I am sure this is a combo of fat & water. But on days I stay close to 1200 and get in even a little bit of exercise I will lose 1 pound in a day. This makes me think its water weight.

OK so far I have lost 17/18 pounds which seem to be water weight. Or is it?

Back to my question. how much water weight can someone have to lose?

This may or may not make a difference. My weight is almost all in the belly. I look pregnant. At my high I looked to be around 8 months pregnant. No I was not. But I didn't lose the weight after my 3rd child who turned 2 in August. I also have weight in my hips & butt but the majority is in the tummy.

What does everyone think?

    Bump.
I go up and down as well. I am trying to track my food choices and the amount of sodium. I seem to eat more salt than I realize.
Eating foods high in potassium make the scale go down for me. (inverse relationship between salt and potassium.) I need more bananas but I rarely eat them when I do buy them. I will try to have more through the week at work.
