Hello all, I am currently 153lbs, 5'5" with a very small frame and really want to get rid of my thick mid section. I carry most of my weight on my boobs and belly but they have got to go. Planks leave my elbows sore so I rely on crunches and sit ups to help address that area.
My next target is to lose a stone (14lbs) and carry on working at the mid section. I'd like to look and feel lovely this Xmas. In 2009, at Xmas I was just bordering on obese (185lbs) and flirting disastrously with diabetes (thankfully shifting 30lbs reduced the risk factor). My blood pressure is another matter altogether. It is worryingly high in someone my age so that motivates me to get rid of abdominal fat from my organs and eat less salty things. This Xmas 2011 and I'd like to be healthy, happy and gorgeous.
Any tips and motivation appreciated.

Situps, planks, etc wont help get rid of stomach fat or your moobs.
There is no way to spot reduce fat. You can't choose where to lose it from. Just lose weight overall, and eventually it will take that fat from those areas.
Situps, crunches, planks, help develop your abs, but they still wont show while there is a layer of fat hiding them.
Just keep the calorie deficit and eventually it'll go down.0 -

Thanks will try and hopefully some of those pesky pounds will melt away0 -
It has a lot to do with food also. I have the ABS diet book and it helps remove belly diet. It is based on higher protein diet. Iam working on it now also.0
