I have just bought a pedometer and was planning on doing 10,000 steps 3 times a week and starting abs (slowly) 3-4 times a week. How effective is the 10,000 steps? Does your body catch on to this exercise quickly and start becoming inefficient too soon? Any thoughts?

I was told 10,000 is for maintenance, 12,000 will help you lose weight.0

As someone who has got used to a very sedentary life (office job with long hours) I find that if I manage 10,000 steps every single day, I lose a lot of weight. But everyone's different, and it's the difference between your average day and your new day that will make the difference.0
